The Doha Debates were invited by the Oxford Union to stage this event on May 1st, 2007. This Debate was broadcast on BBC World on May 5th and 6th, 2007. Norman Finkelstein, Martin Indyk, Andrew Cockburn and David Aaronovitch debated the motion: "This House believes the pro-Israeli lobby has successfully stifled Western debate about Israel's actions".
